 TIM SELLERS

Drug Enforcement Administration

Supervisory Special Agent (Retired)

Prior to retirement in 2006, DEA Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Timothy Sellers initiated an investigation which led to the arrest of fourteen Hizb-I Islam Gulbidden and Taliban terrorists, including the leader, who claimed responsibility for the homicide bombing and murder of five Afghanistan National Directorate of Security agents in early 2004.  He prevented a planned attack on U.S. and NATO forces by tackling an armed homicide bomber as he was boarding a bus loaded with innocent Afghans, blocks from US and NATO military headquarters, the Presidential Palace, and the American Embassy.  For this act, SSA Sellers was awarded the Drug Enforcement Administrator’s Award of Valor and the United States Attorney General’s Annual Award for Exceptional Heroism.

Prior to his assignment in Afghanistan, SSA Sellers worked 33 years in the state of Texas, serving as an El Paso, Texas police officer, and as a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.  During his Texas assignments, he worked extensively in undercover assignments penetrating and dismantling large scale Mexican trafficking organizations.  Presently traveling around the United States, speaking to federal, state, and local law enforcement, military, and national service organizations.  SSA Sellers also appeared on Hannity and Colmes, Fox News Network in 2007.
